Get ready to see Xbox-related ads everywhere!

Tyranitar24 | September 25, 2008 | News | XBOX 360 Misc
Earlier today, Microsoft announced that the biggest Xbox marketing campaign since the release of the original Xbox has kicked off today. You will see ads plastered on billboards, on the T.V., radio, and a lot of other places!

In addition, there will also be game ads. A specific one that is being used will be the popular music game titled Rock Band 2.
Additionally, from tomorrow, Xbox.com will undergo the ultimate transformation, which as Microsoft puts it, "embodies the fusion of gaming and entertainment that Xbox represents".

The campaign will focus on the broad entertainment experiences Xbox consumers enjoy with their family and friends.

"Since the launch of the original Xbox, our platform has focused on delivering amazing gaming experiences which won the hearts and minds of core gamers through top-rated franchises such as 'Halo' and 'Gears of War'," said Stephen McGill , head of gaming and entertainment, Xbox UK and Ireland. "

All I ever see in the US are XBOX ads. Would be nice to see a PS3 ad every now and again.

And soon Japan will also be 360 territory.

I have yet to see a single PS3 ad. Haven't seen one yet, not even at launch.

I just don't want M$ raping the billboards and newspapers.

I'm not sure who is at fault really....perhaps sony isn't pushing hard enough in the states.

Sony just wasn't prepared, and still aren't. PS3 is more expensive and more complex. Using the PS2's marketing strategy won't work here.

I think Sony is waiting for the PS3 to just 'catch on', which it won't without the appropriate marketing.
