PSP tops Japanese sales charts for 2008.

Gothic Girl | July 04, 2008 | News | Playstation Portable
2008 is the year of the Playstation Portable in Japan, with the console selling 1,964,461 units since the start of the year.
The Wii and DS closely followed.

With some big PSP titles coming out soon, we'll have to wait and see if the PSP can also top the charts for the second half of the year...
The first half of this year belong to the PSP. According to Famitsu publisher Enterbrain, the PSP moved 1,964,461 units, while the Wii was hot on its heels with 1,720,263 units. Rounding out the top three was the Nintendo DS, selling 1,593,844 units. Now that Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G has been out for three months, we'll have to wait and see if the Sony portable still has enough steam to snag the second half of the year.

It's always nice to see other consoles get on the top for once.

The PSP is what I wished I had got instead of the DS, but IDC any more. Well done to Sony, I guess.
