After being already
rated by the OFLC, the fans awaited for the impending possibility of Mega Man 9, for which most assumed would be available for a downloadable service. An early leak of the next Nintendo Power issue reveals just that. That's right, folks.
Mega Man 9 is headed to WiiWare.
Mega Man 9 will sport old school 8-bit NES-like graphics, with the control method presumably being the Wiimote on it's side. As
noted in the interview, the father of the Mega Man series,
Keiji Inafune, seeks Mega Man 9 to be a game that would surpass the most popular game of the series, Mega Man 2.
The list of the Robot Masters are in the quote. As mentioned, the team working on Mega Man 9 will be
Inti Creates, who worked on the Mega Man Zero series for the GBA and the Mega Man ZX series for the DS.
Since it is a Nintendo Power scan, whether this will come to PSN/XBLA is unknown. Higher resolution scans should see the light of day tomorrow or this weekend.

Every boss, every robot has "man" at the end of their name. The series (TV show) had "man" on all of them as well. (except the girl characters.)

Trust me, I want MM9 as much as the next guy, but I knew someone was pulling a fast one.
If only I had a Wii, I'd be all over this.
One of the greater games, especially with MegaMan.
