      Disagree about Zelda and Metroid.
      
      While Zelda has lots of games, it doesn't have 20 games on one console (looks at Nintendo Gamecube) nor does it get some crappy sports spin-off.

        _{The ony difference is they are standalone titles, not like FF7 go carts, FF7 skiing, FF7.....etc. Mario has been milked like that. Besides the compilation started around 1999, and not every year make another spinoff, it usually has a few years here and there, hence my stated above yours.}

        Final Blade Final Fantasy is like The Legend of Zelda and Metroid, and personally I am glad to have fiction worlds that can have such depth gained over the years.

  By the way, I think he meant that some games take themselves to seriously, and with that theory Shadow the Hedgehog (game) is for many (not me though to be honest) the perfect example. Mario can mock itself.
