Wii Spider-Man: Web of Shadows to support Balance Board

shuandrew | June 15, 2008 | News | Wii
Leaked promotional material for Activision's upcoming Spider-Man: Web of Shadows has revealed that the Wii version will support hopping, jumping, and leaning on the Balance Board to control the on-screen superhero.
Many gamers have questioned whether the Wii Balance Board will be able to prove itself outside of the fitness/dancing/stepping genre, lending itself to a 'proper' adventure game.

And, in leaked promotional blurb for Spider-Man: Web of Shadows for the Nintendo Wii, it looks like developer Activision will be giving it a good try.

Finally something interesting about the board. I must remember to keep an eye out for this.

Wow, that game has ought to be good. I don't know how the controls will be with the board but it sounds damn intriguing.

I'm hoping the game comes with straps to tie two Wiimotes on your wrists, like webshooters.

    Greatest. Game. Evah.

I won't say this is a good thing or a bad thing, as it could be a good thing becuase the balance board would only be an addition to game interactivity on top of the Wiimote/Nunchuck. And that's asuming that the game even comes with one.

If the game doesn't come with the board, I'm shooting both Nintendo and Activision in the face. I'd shoot Activision first for not letting the game come with the board (Assuming it's their decision), and then I'm shooting Nintendo in the face and balls for giving Activision the chance to rip us off

Hopefully this is better than Spider Man 3 for the Wii. This seems to be some pretty good use for the balance board, so it doesn't stay in Wii Fit Hell forever. Hopefully it will work out good.
