In a conference call to discuss Take-Two's Q2 fiscal results and the state of the publisher's business, Take-Two executives were asked how their development teams were handling the distractions and pressures of Electronic Arts' continued pursuit of Take-Two.

Chairman Strauss Zelnick gave his studios an enormous amount of credit for just staying focused on creating great games during this time.

"I think we've demonstrated that despite distractions everyone has their head down and a smile on their face and they're getting the job done," he said. "And we're immensely grateful to the team, to the Rockstar label, to the 2K label, to all of our management, our sales management, distribution management, corporate management worldwide for staying focused on the job at hand and staying focused on building this company and building shareholder value. That's our job, and I think everyone's done a remarkable job staying focused and we're immensely grateful for the team's terrific work under not insignificant pressure."
