Nintendo promotes girl gamers with Liv Tyler, America Ferrera and Carrie Underwood

chautemoc | May 31, 2008 | News | DS
Nintendo has launched a site called I Play for Me, seemingly intended to promote the idea of girls as gamers, bringing onboard actors and musicians like Carrie Underwood, America Ferrera (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, CSI) and Liv Tyler (The Lord of the Rings, Stealing Beauty). I particularly enjoy how non-fake the commercials are, which is rare to see, especially under such circumstances.

Seeing the latter commercial especially, I have to wonder if I'll be playing Liv online anytime soon. Think she's down with Dungeon Explorer?
