PlayStation Network hits 1 million mark in Japan

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan just announced its PlayStation Network - the company's free online service - has accrued one million accounts in its respective region. According to the official PlayStation site, there are currently 8 million accounts active worldwide. Sounds like good news for Home.
The service launched in November 2006 in the country.

There are some more figures on Watch Impress about downloads, but our Japanese isn’t the best. Have a go if you like.

Well I assume they didn't poll the 1 million users in Japan to find out whether or not they were Japanese..
