Pretty crazy week, this week.
The top software seller this week is
Mario Party DS, selling 235k units, followed by the PS3 version of
Shin Sangoku Musou 5. Rounding out the top five are
last week's #1 ,
Super Mario Galaxy (Wii - 75k),
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift (NDS - 23k), and the 360 version of
Shin Sangoku Musou 5 (360 - 22k).
However, the more shocking is the hardware numbers, with the PS3 selling 56k units, and the Wii still selling at a respectable 35k. So, some very small ground is made up by the PS3. The surge in sales is most likely due to the release of the White 40GB PS3, and the release of Musou 5. Now, the only situation that hasn't happened is the 360 outselling the Wii, but that doesn't look likely in this market.
Notables:
Castlevania Chronicles (PSP) debuts in the top 10, at #6.
Wii Sports (Wii) continues to be in the top 10, at #7 (No change).
The only other new entry in the top 10 is Ratchet and Clank Future (PS3), at #10.
Both Pokémon Mysterious Dungeon (NDS) games are out of the top 10.
Professor Layton and the Curious Village (NDS) reappears in the top 50 at #47.
