OPM: Killzone 2 Is Ahead Of Anything That's Currently On Consoles!

ITANI | October 15, 2007 | Industry News | Playstation 3
OPM writers head to Amsterdam for their first hands on Killzone 2, which evidently leaves them amazed at the level of detail the game has. They've also taken it so far to saying that Killzone 2 is a 'notch ahead' to anything that's currently out on consoles.

With more good news talking about the Playstation 3, it seems that it's going to do very well next year.
OPM go on to discuss the visual impact of Killzone 2 saying that even with a inhospitable and colour drained setting the graphical trickery the PS3 is capable of lets the game shine and come alive with incredible detail and dynamic lighting.

Not biased AT ALL. Granted, Sony does need something to help give the PS3 some more kick.

OPM are actually really unbiased... I mean they gave both Heavenly Sword and Resistance a 7/10, and they're two of Sony's flagship titles. If they were truely biased I'd see them getting at least 9s.

Resistance and Heavenly Sword are most definitely NOT Sony's flagship titles. Those are things like MGS, Final Fantasy and probably Killzone 2 when it's out. Resistance is a launch title FPS with moderate gameplay and online modes. I don't know much about Heavenly Sword but it's only been out for a month so how can you possibly say it's Sony's flagship title? Just because they are exclusive doesn't mean they are what is driving the system. Other consoles aren't really missing out on much.

Hmm, seeing as even Game Informer paired Resistance "Game of the Month" along with Gears of War...I wouldn't say it's that bad of a game. Not to mention it lasted around an entire year, despite other games, which is pretty good for a Launch game title. Also Heavenly Sword's gameplay was genius...if it wasn't so short. So as much as you would love to discredit them, you can't rule out those facts

Anyone with eyes can clearly see that graphically Killzone 2 shits on any other console game, hell the engine used to make it could probably give Crysis a good run for its money if it was used in real world applications.
