Tecmo and Koei Stocks Freeze, Begin Merger Talks

After publisher/developer powerhouse Square Enix last week announced its plans and intentions to acquire beleaguered publisher Tecmo last week, it has surfaced from Reuters Japan that the stocks for both Tecmo and Dynasty Warriors-publisher Koei are now frozen on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Both companies have begun talks for a possible merger.

There will be more news as this develops.

    Very interesting. The new name, perhaps:
    Koecmo, Tekmoei, Komo, Tecmei, Kotecmoei?

    However, I doubt contribution will go little beyond distribution...
