Inspiration for Pacific Rift + Awesome New Trailer
"So a quick catch up. We finished MotorStorm, we thought it was pretty damn good, we knew we needed to make another one, but feeling a bit knackered, we decided that a bit of a vacation was in order. Skip forward a month or so to us sunning ourselves in Hawaii, beautiful place, lovely ladies, and most importantly for this yarn, lovely scenery. Dense jungle, lava tubes, mountains, swamps, volcanoes the works…. Lo, a MotorStorm epiphany ☺"

Motorstorm PSP Version was a Mistake!!
"Speaking to VideoGamer.com this morning a Sony Computer Entertainment Europe spokesperson has confirmed that the listing is a mistake and that it will be removed shortly. So there you go. Maybe the fan excitement over the listing will give Sony a reason to consider bringing the MotorStorm series to PSP in the future, but it's not happening just yet."

Motorstorm: Pacific Rift Release Date Announced
"This time around, the MotorStorm races will take place on a tropical island set amongst the lush jungle, emerald lagoons and towering peaks in the Pacific Ocean. Why is this important? The original MotorStorm introduced us to some fantastic racing through the desert landscape of Monument Valley. Although we delivered some wild tracks and terrain, the desert is the desert. With the topical island setting, players will be able to experience a much broader range of environments and terrain.

Motorstorm 2 demo out today - if you're lucky
"You might check your email today and find out that you've been chosen as one of the lucky gamers to download the Motorstorm 2 demo. That'll make you happy. If not, you're probably not so pleased.
Sony has chosen to distribute the Motorstorm 2 single -player demo today to an unspecified number of randomly-selected PSN users. Why? We're not sure, but we can only guess it's to stop US users (who have to buy Qore to get the demo) from logging into the UK PS Store and snagging it for free."

Community Websites all around for Sony
"Though Phil "Game 3.0" Harrison may have moved onto green ... err, different pastures, his flock of PlayStation 3 developers haven't forgotten his lessons. After taking a handful of upcoming PlayStation games out for a spin last Friday during Sony's Pre-E3 Judge's Event in LA, I noticed a recurring phrase in my notebook: community website. Think Halo 3 and Bungie.net; a game-specific site chocked full of additional ways to engage the title. It's like ... Web 2.0 plus ... Game 1.0 – wait, we f..."

MotorStorm Pacific Rift features photo mode, custom soundtracks
"There's a bigger, badder and more badass sequel coming out this year. You guessed it: MotorStorm Pacific Rift. There's more to be excited about in the sequel other than interactive vegetation. If you didn't hear, Pacific Rift is going to have twice the tracks of the original, and four-player split-screen racing (something sorely missing from the original).
Pacific Rift is also going to add a number of commonly requested features, such as a Photo Mode, which allows you to take screenshots f..."

Evolution Only "Scratched The Surface" Of PS3.
"Speaking to VideoGamer.com at Sony's recent PlayStation Day Nigel Kershaw, MotorStorm Pacific Rift's game director, has revealed what it's like to develop for the PlayStation 3.
When asked if MotorStorm Pacific Rift is pushing the PS3 Kershaw said: "The first game pushed the PS3, this is pushing the PS3, our next game is going to push the PS3. It's not so much about pushing the hardware, it's about learning how to use the hardware in the best possible fashion."
He added: "We've realised..."
