"The premise of Fracture itself is where the attention has come from, and here it seems as though it is warranted. The player is giving the ability to manipulate the very ground you walk on; creating craters or small hills. The Terrain Deformation principle itself, given a little thought, is an incredibly empowering ideal for videogames, and throughout it’s demonstration Fracture has been seen to offer some interesting uses for the capability..."

"When it comes to reviewing games there is a rather dangerous temptation to give in to horrible puns, and I refuse to do so during this review, on pain of being made to play on a Virtual Boy all weekend. With that in mind let’s get on with a look at Lucasarts’ contribution to the already crowded world of first person shooters, and falling into the equally well populated ’future shooter’ genre, rubbing shoulders with such titles as Halo 3 and Quake 4."

Review: Fracture
"Fracture depicts a world split between two warring sides: the Atlantic Alliance and the Republic of Pacifica. As a game, Fracture is also split two ways: it's simultaneously a very conventional third-person perspective shooter and an energetic action-puzzle game. It's a very awkward pairing, unfortunately."
