Xbox 360 NXE Hard Drive Install Chart (So how much time are you saving?)

PacoDG | November 12, 2008 | FAQs | PC Playstation 3
All I did here was put this collected information in chart form. I will update as much as possible, drop a comment if you know how much time is saved on a particular game.
I don't think the chart needs to be explained, you have the games, you have how much space they would take on your hard drive, and then how much time you'd be saving (not listed on the chart is how much relief you will be giving your poor disc drive). No longer do 360 fanboys have the fodder of "oh you PS3 people have to install games blah blah" .. in the end, if you have a big enough hard drive, you know you'll be installing these games soon enough.

Lesser load times is a bonus really, I only care about the Xbox being quieter.

Im abit confused about NXE and this thing, if i install it to my 360 do i still need to have the disc in when i play it? or is it that i have the disc in at the start to load it up then i can take it out afterwards?

I know the disc needs to be in the tray at the very start, I have no clue if you aren't allowed to take it out.

If this is anything similar to the PS3 install, then I think the games needs to be in the tray at all times during and after the install. Its just I believe helping the hard-drive take less strain.

Halo 3 6.3GB Load times are worse (10 seconds longer) when installed and at almost every level
For some reason I found this ironic. Curious as to why its longer though.

PacoDG is the installs mandatory or optional?

If PC HDD's can do this without game discs and still hold strong i fail to see why the Xbox's HDD should struggle with it

well, think about piracy and such

buy/rent a game, install, sell back
thats why returning CDs is so awkward these days

Obviously optional, being able to install any game is a feature of the new Dashboard!

The reason why its listed under PS3 is cause the games he attached some are on the PS3 and it clicked both PS3 and 360. It was a mistake. Same thing when I submitted my thing about FF and it being labeled under PC.

@Xenc - its not obviously known if it was optional since I do not have a 360 to know. If I did i'd probably wouldn't have asked that.
