Why Does E for All Still Exist

mclazyj | September 13, 2007 | Blog | Company Misc
Lately there has been quite a bit of press about the E for All event, happening in October. One has to wonder if there are problems with the event and if it will even survive past the initial year. This editorial focuses on why the event is still happening, considering all the bad press.
Why would I want to see a gaming festival go away? Because I don't think E for All is going to deliver on the experience that people want to get from it and it will just leave a bad taste in every gamer's mouth. Gamers are going to this thing expecting an E3 2006 experience, and when they see what they are actually getting, they will be disappointed.

Well, if E for All can top the disaster that was E3 2007 then I have no complaints.

Actually, E3 was not a disaster this year. It was rather refreshing. No three hour waits to get into a demo, easy access to the developers, and a nice location. About the only problem I had with E3 was that the show floor was too far from the rest of the hotel suites and so forth. And it had full vendor support, which is one thing that E for All cannot boast.
