How Nintendo Could Completely Screw Up The DS 2

RKRigney | September 22, 2008 | Blog | DS
SlapStic.com writer Ryan Rigney delves into the horrible possibilities that could end up being "features" in the upcoming new Nintendo handheld in this humorous article.
The Nintendo DS is one of the most successful gaming platforms of all time, selling over 800 trillion units since its launch on my birthday (Nov. 21st) nearly 4 years ago. The DS is now older than the Game Boy Advance was when the DS itself launched, which brings to light the question of when Nintendo will launch a new handheld device. The makers of Mario, Metroid, Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, and countless other classic franchises have always maintained a policy of new handhelds being compatible with the games of the one before it, so it's to be expected that any new portable device from Nintendo would continue the trend.

Nice; post another one of your articles for extra points. A very unfunny article, at that. Try a little harder next time you want to make a laugh.

If GameGrep points were the driving force behind ANYTHING I did, I'd be a very sad, strange, little man.

I still find it odd you submit your articles to gamegrep from Slaptastic though. I can understand if someone else submitted it, but its just unorthodox doing it the way you're doing it.

Anyway I doubt they'll screw up the DS 2. Nintendo has ruled the handheld market for years.

I think it is cool, also posting about himself in the 3rd person just adds to the charm.

Sarcasm right? Cause imho, its a bit tacky posting your own articles from another site on gamegrep to get points.

Again I don't mind if others do it, but doing it yourself is like I said, unorthodox.

I was actually about to click on this article, but then I noticed who submitted it and uhh... yeah. You get the point.

I like how this guy posts this exact same comment on every one of my stories. It boosts the comment count.

This is the only second time I've posted that but it probably still hasn't gotten through your head.

Sorry, but your articles are stupid and not worth reading.

I love how you completely bashed Mario games in one of your articles, but you have a Mario avatar.

If you STILL haven't caught on, that article was intended for the purpose of this thing called humor. Of course I love Mario. I was just poking fun.

I think FB got it right... Nintendo's had the market cornered for years, they aren't likely to try anything stupid after learning from the failure of things the Virtual Boy.

Add functionality to the BIOS screen, like a PIM, web browser, VOIP and permanent network settings (that in game settings would override) maybe higher resolutions (that new games could use) and it would seem to me that a single USB port reserved for firmware upgrades would be desirable.

This would actually be interesting if it was a serious article.

    Maybe I should write one.

Well see the thing about GameGrep is, the entire point of the site is to post links to interesting news. So yeah. I do.

At risk of getting in more trouble, I'm going to point out what is wrong with that comment whithout even saying anything.

Some decent points there. Probably not as comprehensive and detailed as someone interested in the topic would like but, what the hell do I know.
