The top 7 worst parts in the best games.

GamesRadar takes a look at what they deem the worst parts in the best games.

While these games were all great they had flaws that GamesRadar thought were "so huge, so obvious, so frustrating and so effing obnoxious that you can't help but notice them, despise them and wonder how the damn things got included in the first place."
Nothing's perfect. Stare closely enough at anything - even a masterpiece - and you're bound to find flaws sooner or later. They might be small. They might be insignificant. They might not detract from the overall quality of the piece at all...

Except when they really, really do. With these seven games, in fact, you don't need to stare. Their flaws are so huge, so obvious, so frustrating and so effing obnoxious that you can't help but notice them, despise them and wonder how the damn things got included in the first place.

Do we usually end up loving these games anyway? Yes. Would we love them a lot more if they lanced these particular features like the foul, cancerous boils they truly are? Oh hell yes!

      I agree with your "I don't agree".

It's like they don't have their own life. If it's bad, they should ignore it...not put it on a cover of a magazine :/

They're damn right about the Gummi Ships from KHI (glad Squeenix fixed it in KHII), and the Atlantica singing "mission" from KHII. Helloooo, I'm meant to be saving Riku from untold dangers! Not singing with a friggin' mermaid and her fish friends!

I'm one of the few, it seems, that didn't hate the gummi ship stuff. I don't remember much about when when I played KH I, but I am pretty sure I didn't hate it >_>

In the case of KH II, I beat the Gummi missions 100% on Normal.

I agree with the crappy Atlantica singing business -_- It should have been on the list, instead of the Gummi Missions IMO. MAN, I still remember the whole ludicrous "Finny Fun" crap. What? Would people sing about having a bit of 'Leggy Fun'? I think not >_>

Gummi Ships still sucked in KHII. They were just "Amped Up" slightly, tbfh. FF7's Cid was both games, they could of just put in Classic Airships for some Square Nostalgia and called it a day. I agree with them about how shitty Atlantica was in KHII, they should of had the crappy singing in the first, then turned it into a Heartless Warzone in II.

I also agree with them about the Blue Shells. I remember back when they actually had a failure rate, now, they're so noob friendly, they'll instantly destroy anyone who actually had enough skill to get to 1st Place. Nintendo, quit dumbing down franchizes!

To each their own. As I said, I liked the Gummi Missions well enough.

TBH though, it was more about getting 100% and trying to design the uber ship that could do it, than anything else.

I agree, i could not stand it in KH1 but it did get better in KHII but its still an annoying sidequest. Hopefully when they make the 3rd its gone or you can skip it or sumthing

Am I the only one who freaking loves the Gummi Ship and the Atlantica Singing??

I thought they were great additions to the game, I love that Disney movie and the TV show.

I don't agree with those two being on the list at all.

Gothic Girl Riku doesn't need Sora to save his ass, he's well capable of doing it himself. The thing he was supposed to do was beat the organization and heartless. He wanted to find him, not save him. However only later in the game was he trying to find Kairi and save her. Although that was later on after Atlantica. Besides that could have been done after you beat the game.
There is no reason for that to be included at all. Its just they're nitpicking over stupid shit in KH1 and KH2.

I had done hours of customizing my Gummi Shit to look and fly great.

In case you didn't notice, the whole point of KHII was to save Riku.

I wish I could play Dead Rising to be able to experience the "worst" part.

I loved the blue turtle shell pics lol.

Gotta agree with the GTA IV Socializing thing. It would be nice to be able to do it just whenever YOU wanted, instead of getting streams of calls from various people >_>

Yeah, I'm also sick of the game Cliche, where the hero can't bloody swim. I can roll with it though, as it is simply a convenience for developers, and really, swimming isn't essential to the story (though they could make it so)....Besides, not everyone knows how to swim. You could be a big strapping behemoth of a man. A Man's Man. But if you weren't taught (or bothered to check it out yourself) how to swim, well, yeah....Fishing was amusing for me at first, but bleh, nothing good at the end....Though I spent some time finding good fish there >_>

Tingle is just freaky....Some people like him though >_>

Ah, I HATE stupid Ally AI....In GTA IV, for example, one of my 'allies' ran TOWARD a freakin' grenade, during the bank heist (this happened more than once).

Blue shell....Friend to those that are losing....Enemy to the one that manages to do well enough to get in first place. Yeah, the AI is more punishing when you do well in games in general (in races, it is noticable). But in many races, on the other end of the spectrum, it can be forgiving. Early on, even if you're in last place, you still have a chance at getting in first, when facing AI opponents. At least in easier races....

The solution to the blue shell: Split it into pieces like the dragoon, making it less frequent and a team item that every racer works together to collect.

Wind Waker is still the best Zelda, period.

I agree with the Kingdom Hearts Gummi ship. It's such a pain to have to go through them for the first time. It takes like 5 minutes and sometimes you have do start over.

I EFFING LOVED Gummi Ships! If you put any kind of work into you had had hours of fun right there, and toherwise you could just choose the best pre-made pattern and go do The Pridelands or whatever it is people who don't like Gummi Ships DO like...

I lol'd a couple times. Especially the blue shell pics.

Pretty much everything was true. However, I liked the time limit on Dead Rising. It made it very intense. They shoulda had a mode without a timelimit. I know the survival one but I mean all the story with none of the constant run, check watch, listen to otis, check watch...repeat

Ahaha them blue shell pictures were great. The amount of times I've gone from first to like fifth on the finish line playing online thanks to a blue shell is a joke.

As for the Water Temple.. *shudder*. It should be renamed the "Nightmare Temple" for people playing through the game for the first time.

About the water temple, well, I don't remember it being THAT bad...I only remember bits and pieces, like water levels rising and falling....The weighted boots, the 'blue costume' required to breath underwater, etc....

Maybe it annoyed me, but I dont remember loathing it to my very core >_>

Then again, maybe I have repressed memories...

I agree with the article but only at certain points. Like in GTA games, they are a masterpiece, but sometimes they have some flaws, but then again they are not significant, like blue hell.

Argh. I hate the blue shell. Fortunately if the guy's up your ass, the blast radius takes hime out too.

I was always pretty neutral on the Gummi Ship sections of KH. They were repetetive, but they weren't that bad.

Yeah, it was a great twist in an amazing game. When the story wasn't shit on by people to eager to go spend time on mulitplayer and phone in the story. In the process ruining both

*sigh* Halo: CE had so much potential to become awesome. Why did they mess with the formula.
